This event was designed for social sector leaders to explore the role of technology as a means to promote the empowerment of women towards the achievement of SDG 5, Gender Equality.⠀

Mrs Nkemdilim Uwaje Begho

The session was facilitated by Mrs Nkemdilim Uwaje Begho the CEO of FutureSoft, a Digital Marketing Expert and 2019 Obama Leader. During her session she shared some nuggets on telling stories to enhance Gender Parity;

Women should build a profile that amplifies all about their work on digital platforms

Women need to stop downplaying accomplishments and own their success to shape the narrative; this is why it’s essential to tell stories”

“Women are in the right positions but do not have visibility; so when there is an opportunity, the enablers will only pick those that are out there. Therefore, women need to position themselves for visibility by documenting their stories”

Personal branding not only helps women gain visibility, but it also inspires the younger generation”

Women should be intentional about connecting with professionals in the same space”
