Food Outreach in Erunwon Community, Ogun State
The world is currently battling a global health crisis as CoronaVirus (COVID-19) rapidly spreads across many countries. Currently, cases of the virus have been reported amongst individuals in Nigeria.
As a result of this and an increase in the number of cases in our country, the Federal Government ordered an additional lockdown of 14 days as a means to further reduce the spread of the virus.
This form of measure, directly and indirectly, affected many families as their livelihood sustenance is dependent on their ability to go out.
Following this, we tailored our second quarter’s program to address the needs caused by the virus through the center for industrial society.
Beginning with an assessment of the situation in Erunwon Community Ogun State, where our head office is located; the Chris Ogunbanjo Foundation distributed Foodstuff and Water to three hundred families.
The foundation adopted this outreach in line with Sustainable Development Goal 2 & 3 (Zero Hunger and Good Health and Wellbeing) to reduce the ripple effect of the measure put in place on community members in Erunwon, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.
Surely we will overcome this COVID-19 pandemic, Stay safe!
