A Training for Security Agencies in Lagos State
Prior to the elections of 2019, Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) and Academy Halogen organized a Pre and Post Election Training for officers of security agencies in Lagos state. The agencies had a day’s slot each. At the four-day training, the head of The Chris Ogunbanjo Foundation’s Center for Peace and Conflict Resolution and CEO of Bulwark Intelligence, Tanwa Ashiru who was one of the facilitators trained the officers on a course titled, “Understanding Nigeria’s Security Threats.” She gave a detailed security analysis of Nigeria and possible community relations techniques.
Security agencies that benefitted from the training include Lagos State Traffic Management Agency (LASTMA), Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (LAGESC) and Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC).
Within the same period, officers of the Nigerian Police Force ran a Professional Executive Diploma In Crime Prevention and Community Safety. The training was facilitated by Academy Halogen, The Association of Certified Forensic Intelligence and Crime Analysts and Elizade University and co-sponsored by The Chris Ogunbanjo Foundation. At the graduation ceremony which took place on Thursday 14th February at Academy Halogen, the Foundation made a financial donation to The Association of Certified Forensic Intelligence and Crime Analysts. The association has a mission to leverage on the power of technology to prepare forensic intelligence, crime analysts and investigators for global security challenges.
